【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodfordeterminingthelossinthicknessofflexiblecellularmaterialswhencompressedrepetitivelytoafixedlevelofstrain.Itisparticularlyusefulforqualitycontrolinthemanufactureofflexiblepolymericcellularmaterials.AnotherprocedurealreadyexistsasISO3385:thismeasuresthefatiguecharacteristicsofflexiblepolymericcellularmaterialsbyconstant-stressloadingofthespecimenratherthanconstantstrain.ItformsthebasisofamaterialclassificationsysteminISO5999.Thesetwofatigueproceduresarecomplementarytoeachotherandcanbothbeusefulinthepredictionofend-useperformance.TheprocedureandequipmentusedinthisInternationalStandardallowtestingofalargenumberoftestpiecesatanyonetime,whereasISO3385onlyallowstestingofonetestpieceatatimeunderthecompressiondevice.
